Pittsburgh Glass Center's mobile glass studio, Hot Wheels, is set to visit Rockwell Park on May 18th for a day of furnace-fired fun and glassblowing demonstrations. The event will be held at the Rockwell Park Plaza, located at 7514 Thomas Blvd, from 12 pm to 2 pm.
Accompanied by skilled artists, the studio will showcase the process of transforming molten magma into fiery works of art right before the visitors.
Hot Wheels is a compact traveling glass studio that allows for glassblowing demonstrations to take place outside of the Pittsburgh Glass Center's Penn Avenue building. Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, it is a great way to bring the art of glassblowing to various communities.
